حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ خَبَّابٍ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ رَجُلًا قَيْنًا ، وَكَانَ لِي عَلَى الْعَاصِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ دَيْنٌ ، فَأَتَيْتُهُ أَتَقَاضَاهُ ، فَقَالَ لِي : لَا أَقْضِيكَ حَتَّى تَكْفُرَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : لَنْ أَكْفُرَ بِهِ حَتَّى تَمُوتَ ، ثُمَّ تُبْعَثَ ، قَالَ : وَإِنِّي لَمَبْعُوثٌ مِنْ بَعْدِ الْمَوْتِ ، فَسَوْفَ أَقْضِيكَ إِذَا رَجَعْتُ إِلَى مَالٍ وَوَلَدٍ ، قَالَ : فَنَزَلَتْ أَفَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي كَفَرَ بِآيَاتِنَا وَقَالَ لأُوتَيَنَّ مَالا وَوَلَدًا { 77 } أَطَّلَعَ الْغَيْبَ أَمِ اتَّخَذَ عِنْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ عَهْدًا { 78 } كَلَّا سَنَكْتُبُ مَا يَقُولُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهُ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ مَدًّا { 79 } وَنَرِثُهُ مَا يَقُولُ وَيَأْتِينَا فَرْدًا { 80 } سورة مريم آية 77-80 .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے یحییٰ بن موسیٰ بلخی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے وکیع نے بیان کیا، ان سے اعمش نے، ان سے ابوالضحیٰ نے، ان سے مسروق نے اور ان سے خباب بن ارت نے بیان کیا کہ   میں پہلے لوہار تھا اور عاص بن وائل پر میرا قرض چاہئے تھا۔ میں اس کے پاس تقاضا کرنے گیا تو کہنے لگا کہ جب تک تم محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے نہ پھر جاؤ گے تمہارا قرض نہیں دوں گا، میں نے کہا کہ میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے دین سے ہرگز نہیں پھروں گا۔ یہاں تک کہ اللہ تعالیٰ تجھے مار دے اور پھر زندہ کر دے۔ اس نے کہا کیا موت کے بعد میں دوبارہ زندہ کیا جاؤں گا پھر تو مجھے مال و اولاد بھی مل جائیں گے اور اسی وقت تمہارا قرض بھی ادا کر دوں گا۔ راوی نے بیان کیا کہ اس کے متعلق آیت نازل ہوئی «أفرأيت الذي كفر بآياتنا وقال لأوتين مالا وولدا * أطلع الغيب أم اتخذ عند الرحمن عهدا * كلا سنكتب ما يقول ونمد له من العذاب مدا * ونرثه ما يقول ويأتينا فردا‏» کہ ”بھلا تم نے اس شخص کو بھی دیکھا جو ہماری آیتوں کا انکار کرتا ہے اور کہتا ہے کہ مجھے تو مال اور اولاد مل کر رہیں گے، تو کیا یہ غیب پر آگاہ ہو گیا ہے۔ یا اس نے خدائے رحمن سے کوئی عہد کر لیا ہے؟ ہرگز نہیں، البتہ ہم اس کا کہا ہوا بھی لکھ لیتے ہیں اور اس کے لیے عذاب بڑھاتے ہی چلے جائیں گے اور اس کی کہی ہوئی کے ہم ہی مالک ہوں گے اور وہ ہمارے پاس اکیلا آئے گا۔“

English Translation

Narrated Khabbab: I was a blacksmith and Al-Asi Bin Wail owed me a debt, so I went to him to demand it. He said to me. I will not pay you your debt till you disbelieve in Muhammad. I said, I will not disbelieve in Muhammad till you die and then be resurrected. He said, Will I be resurrected after my death? If so, I shall pay you (there) if I should find wealth and children. So there was revealed:-- 'Have you seen him who disbelieved in Our Signs, and yet says: I shall certainly be given wealth and children? Has he, known to the unseen or has he taken a covenant from (Allah) the Beneficent? Nay ! We shall record what he says, and we shall add and add to his punishment. And We shall inherit from him all that he talks of, and he shall appear before Us alone.' (19.77-80)
