حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مِجْلَزٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عُبَادٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : أَنَا أَوَّلُ مَنْ يَجْثُو بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الرَّحْمَنِ لِلْخُصُومَةِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، قَالَ قَيْسٌ : وَفِيهِمْ نَزَلَتْ : هَذَانِ خَصْمَانِ اخْتَصَمُوا فِي رَبِّهِمْ سورة الحج آية 19 ، قَالَ : هُمُ الَّذِينَ بَارَزُوا يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ عَلِيٌّ ، وَحَمْزَةُ ، وَعُبَيْدَةُ ، وَشَيْبَةُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ ، وَعُتْبَةُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ ، وَالْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے حجاج بن منہال نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے معتمر بن سلیمان نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ میں نے اپنے والد سلیمان سے سنا، انہوں نے ابومجلز سے سن کر کہا کہ   یہ خود ان ( ابومجلز ) کا قول ہے، ان سے قیس بن عباد نے اور ان سے علی بن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ میں پہلا شخص ہوں گا۔ جو رحمن کے حضور میں قیامت کے دن اپنا دعویٰ پیش کرنے کے لیے چہار زانو بیٹھوں گا۔ قیس نے کہا کہ آپ ہی لوگوں کے بارے میں یہ آیت نازل ہوئی تھی «هذان خصمان اختصموا في ربهم‏» کہ یہ دو فریق ہیں جنہوں نے اپنے پروردگار کے بارے میں جھگڑا کیا“ بیان کیا کہ یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے بدر کی لڑائی میں دعوت مقابلہ دی تھی۔ یعنی ( مسلمانوں کی طرف سے ) علی، حمزہ اور عبیدہ رضی اللہ عنہم نے اور ( کفار کی طرف سے ) شیبہ بن ربیعہ، عتبہ بن ربیعہ اور ولید بن عتبہ نے۔

English Translation

Narrated Qais bin Ubad: `Ali said, I will be the first to kneel before the Beneficent on the Day of Resurrection because of the dispute. Qais said; This Verse: 'These two opponents (believers and disbelievers dispute with each other about their Lord,' (22.19) was revealed in connection with those who came out for the Battle of Badr, i.e. `Ali, Hamza, 'Ubaida, Shaiba bin Rabi`a, `Utba bin Rabi`a and Al-Walid bin `Utba.
