حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، قَالَ : اسْتَأْذَنَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهَا عَلَى عَائِشَةَ وَهِيَ مَغْلُوبَةٌ ، قَالَتْ : أَخْشَى أَنْ يُثْنِيَ عَلَيَّ ، فَقِيلَ ابْنُ عَمِّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : وَمِنْ وُجُوهِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ، قَالَتْ : ائْذَنُوا لَهُ ، فَقَالَ : كَيْفَ تَجِدِينَكِ ؟ قَالَتْ : بِخَيْرٍ إِنِ اتَّقَيْتُ ، قَالَ : فَأَنْتِ بِخَيْرٍ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ زَوْجَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلَمْ يَنْكِحْ بِكْرًا غَيْرَكِ ، وَنَزَلَ عُذْرُكِ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ ، وَدَخَلَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ خِلَافَهُ ، فَقَالَتْ : دَخَلَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَأَثْنَى عَلَيَّ ، وَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي كُنْتُ نِسْيًا مَنْسِيًّا .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے محمد بن مثنیٰ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے یحییٰ بن سعید قطان نے، ان سے عمر بن سعید بن ابی حسین نے، ان سے ابن ابی ملیکہ نے، کہا کہ   عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کی وفات سے تھوڑی دیر پہلے، جبکہ وہ نزع کی حالت میں تھیں، ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے ان کے پاس آنے کی اجازت چاہی، عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ مجھے ڈر ہے کہ کہیں وہ میری تعریف نہ کرنے لگیں۔ کسی نے عرض کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے چچا زاد بھائی ہیں اور خود بھی عزت دار ہیں ( اس لیے آپ کو اجازت دے دینی چاہئے ) اس پر انہوں نے کہا کہ پھر انہیں اندر بلا لو۔ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے ان سے پوچھا کہ آپ کس حال میں ہیں؟ اس پر انہوں نے فرمایا کہ اگر میں اللہ کے نزدیک اچھی ہوں تو سب اچھا ہی اچھا ہے۔ اس پر ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہ ان شاءاللہ آپ اچھی ہی رہیں گی۔ آپ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی زوجہ مطہرہ ہیں اور آپ کے سوا نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کسی کنواری عورت سے نکاح نہیں فرمایا اور آپ کی برات ( قرآن مجید میں ) آسمان سے نازل ہوئی۔ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کے تشریف لے جانے کے بعد آپ کی خدمت میں ابن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہما حاضر ہوئے۔ محترمہ نے ان سے فرمایا کہ ابھی ابن عباس آئے تھے اور میری تعریف کی، میں تو چاہتی ہوں کہ کاش میں ایک بھولی بسری گمنام ہوتی۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn Abu Mulaika: Ibn `Abbas asked permission to visit Aisha before her death, and at that time she was in a state of agony. She then said. I am afraid that he will praise me too much. And then it was said to her, He is the cousin of Allah's Messenger and one of the prominent Muslims. Then she said, Allow him to enter. (When he entered) he said, How are you? She replied, I am Alright if I fear (Allah). Ibn `Abbas said, Allah willing, you are Alright as you are the wife of Allah's Messenger and he did not marry any virgin except you and proof of your innocence was revealed from the Heaven. Later on Ibn Az-Zubair entered after him and `Aisha said to him, Ibn `Abbas came to me and praised me greatly, but I wish that I was a thing forgotten and out of sight.
