حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : اخْتَلَفَ أَهْلُ الْكُوفَةِ فِي قَتْلِ الْمُؤْمِنِ ، فَرَحَلْتُ فِيهِ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، فَقَالَ : نَزَلَتْ فِي آخِرِ مَا نَزَلَ وَلَمْ يَنْسَخْهَا شَيْءٌ .

Urdu Translation

مجھ سے محمد بن بشار نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے غندر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے، ان سے مغیرہ بن نعمان نے، ان سے سعید بن جبیر نے بیان کیا کہ   اہل کوفہ کا مومن کے قتل کے مسئلے میں اختلاف ہوا ( کہ اس کے قاتل کی توبہ قبول ہو سکتی ہے یا نہیں ) تو میں سفر کر کے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کی خدمت میں پہنچا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ ( سورۃ نساء کی آیت جس میں یہ ذکر ہے کہ جس نے کسی مسلمان کو جان بوجھ کر قتل کیا اس کی سزا جہنم ہے۔ ) اس سلسلہ میں سب سے آخر میں نازل ہوئی ہے اور کسی دوسری سے منسوخ نہیں ہوئی۔

English Translation

Narrated Sa`id bin Jubair: The people of Kufa differed as regards the killing of a believer so I entered upon Ibn `Abbas (and asked him) about that. Ibn `Abbas said, The Verse (in Surat-An-Nisa', 4:93) was the last thing revealed in this respect and nothing cancelled its validity.
