حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الْمُنَادِي ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ لِأُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ : إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أُقْرِئَكَ الْقُرْآنَ ، قَالَ : آللَّهُ سَمَّانِي لَكَ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : وَقَدْ ذُكِرْتُ عِنْدَ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، فَذَرَفَتْ عَيْنَاهُ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے احمد بن ابی داؤد ابو جعفر منادی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے روح نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سعید بن ابی عروبہ نے، ان سے قتادہ نے اور ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ابی بن کعب سے فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے مجھے حکم دیا ہے کہ تمہیں قرآن کی ( سورۃ لم یکن ) پڑھ کر سناؤں۔ انہوں نے پوچھا کیا اللہ نے آپ سے میرا نام بھی لیا ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ ہاں۔ ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ بولے تمام جہانوں کے پالنے والے کے ہاں میرا ذکر ہوا؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ ہاں اس پر ان کی آنکھوں سے آنسو نکل پڑے۔

English Translation

Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah's Prophet said to Ubai bin Ka`b, Allah has ordered me to recite Qur'an to you. Ubai said, Did Allah mention me by name to you? The Prophet said, Yes. Ubai said, Have I been mentioned by the Lord of the Worlds? The Prophet said, Yes. Then Ubai burst into tears.
