Baab Quran Ke Fazail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، قَالَ : أُنْبِئْتُ أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعِنْدَهُ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ فَجَعَلَ يَتَحَدَّثُ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ : مَنْ هَذَا ؟ أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ : قَالَتْ : هَذَا دِحْيَةُ ، فَلَمَّا قَامَ ، قَالَتْ : وَاللَّهِ مَا حَسِبْتُهُ إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ خُطْبَةَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُخْبِرُ خَبَرَ جِبْرِيلَ ، أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ : قَالَ أَبِي : قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عُثْمَانَ : مِمَّنْ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا ؟ قَالَ : مِنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے معتمر بن سلیمان نے ‘ کہا کہ میں نے اپنے والد سے سنا ‘ ان سے ابوعثمان مہدی نے بیان کیا کہ   مجھے معلوم ہوا ہے کہ جبرائیل علیہ السلام نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئے اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بات کرنے لگے۔ اس وقت ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا آپ کے پاس موجود تھیں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے پوچھا کہ جانتی ہو یہ کون ہیں؟ یا اسی طرح کے الفاظ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمائے۔ ام المؤمنین نے کہا کہ دحیہ الکلبی ہیں۔ جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہوئے ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا: اللہ کی قسم! اس وقت ( تک ) بھی میں انہیں دحیہ الکلبی سمجھتی رہی۔ آخر جب میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا خطبہ سنا جس میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جبرائیل علیہ السلام کے آنے کی خبر سنائی تب مجھے حال معلوم ہوا یا اسی طرح کے الفاظ بیان کئے۔ معتمر نے بیان کیا کہ میرے والد ( سلیمان ) نے کہا ‘ میں نے ابوعثمان مہدی سے کہا کہ آپ نے یہ حدیث کس سے سنی تھی؟ انہوں نے بتایا کہ اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہا سے۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu `Uthman: I was informed that Gabriel came to the Prophet while Um Salama was with him. Gabriel started talking (to the Prophet). Then the Prophet asked Um Salama, Who is this? She replied, He is Dihya (al-Kalbi). When Gabriel had left, Um Salama said, By Allah, I did not take him for anybody other than him (i.e. Dihya) till I heard the sermon of the Prophet wherein he informed about the news of Gabriel. The subnarrator asked Abu `Uthman: From whom have you heard that? Abu `Uthman said: From Usama bin Zaid.
