Sahih Bukhari 5077 - The Book Of (The Wedlock)

Baab Nikah Ke Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَخِي ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ نَزَلْتَ وَادِيًا وَفِيهِ شَجَرَةٌ قَدْ أُكِلَ مِنْهَا ، وَوَجَدْتَ شَجَرًا لَمْ يُؤْكَلْ مِنْهَا ، فِي أَيِّهَا كُنْتَ تُرْتِعُ بَعِيرَكَ ؟ قَالَ : فِي الَّذِي لَمْ يُرْتَعْ مِنْهَا ، تَعْنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَتَزَوَّجْ بِكْرًا غَيْرَهَا .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے اسماعیل بن عبداللہ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھ سے میرے بھائی عبدالحمید نے بیان کیا، ان سے سلیمان بن بلال نے، ان سے ہشام بن عروہ نے، ان سے ان کے والد نے اور ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ   میں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! فرمائیے اگر آپ کسی وادی میں اتریں اور اس میں ایک درخت ایسا ہو جس میں اونٹ چر گئے ہوں اور ایک درخت ایسا ہو جس میں سے کچھ بھی نہ کھایا گیا ہو تو آپ اپنا اونٹ ان درختوں میں سے کس درخت میں چرائیں گے؟ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اس درخت میں جس میں سے ابھی چرایا نہیں گیا ہو۔ ان کا اشارہ اس طرف تھا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کے سوا کسی کنواری لڑکی سے نکاح نہیں کیا۔

English Translation

Narrated `Aisha: I said, O Allah's Apostle! Suppose you landed in a valley where there is a tree of which something has been eaten and then you found trees of which nothing has been eaten, of which tree would you let your camel graze? He said, (I will let my camel graze) of the one of which nothing has been eaten before. (The sub-narrator added: `Aisha meant that Allah's Apostle had not married a virgin besides herself .)
