Baab Nikah Ke Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ صَفِيَّةَ ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَتْ : أَوْلَمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى بَعْضِ نِسَائِهِ بِمُدَّيْنِ مِنْ شَعِيرٍ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے محمد بن یوسف نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان نے بیان کیا، ان سے منصور بن صفیہ نے، ان سے ان کی والدہ صفیہ بنت شیبہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنی ایک بیوی کا ولیمہ دو مد ( تقریباً پونے دو سیر ) جَو سے کیا تھا۔

English Translation

Narrated Safiyya bint Shaiba: The Prophet gave a banquet with two Mudds of barley on marrying some of his wives. (1 Mudd= 1 3/4 of a kilogram) .
