Sahih Bukhari 5235 - The Book Of (The Wedlock)

Baab Nikah Ke Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ عِنْدَهَا وَفِي الْبَيْتِ مُخَنَّثٌ ، فَقَالَ الْمُخَنَّثُ لِأَخِي أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ : إِنْ فَتَحَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ الطَّائِفَ غَدًا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى بِنْتِ غَيْلَانَ فَإِنَّهَا تُقْبِلُ بِأَرْبَعٍ وَتُدْبِرُ بِثَمَانٍ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَا يَدْخُلَنَّ هَذَا عَلَيْكُنَّ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے عثمان بن ابی شیبہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عبدہ بن سلیمان نے بیان کیا، ان سے ہشام بن عروہ نے، ان سے ان کے والد نے، ان سے زینب بنت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے اور ان سے ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ نے کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان کے یہاں تشریف رکھتے تھے، گھر میں ایک مغیث نامی مخنث بھی تھا۔ اس مخنث ( ہیجڑے ) نے ام سلمہ کے بھائی عبداللہ بن ابی امیہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا کہ اگر کل اللہ نے تمہیں طائف پر فتح عنایت فرمائی تو میں تمہیں غیلان کی بیٹی کو دکھلاؤں گا کیونکہ وہ سامنے آتی ہے تو ( مٹاپے کی وجہ سے ) اس کے چار شکنیں پڑ جاتی ہیں اور جب پیچھے پھرتی ہے تو آٹھ ہو جاتی ہیں۔ اس کے بعد نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( ام سلمہ سے ) فرمایا کہ یہ ( مخنث ) تمہارے پاس اب نہ آیا کرے۔

English Translation

Narrated Um Salama: that while the Prophet was with her, there was an effeminate man in the house. The effeminate man said to Um Salama's brother, `Abdullah bin Abi Umaiyya, If Allah should make you conquer Ta'if tomorrow, I recommend that you take the daughter of Ghailan (in marriage) for (she is so fat) that she shows four folds of flesh when facing you and eight when she turns her back. Thereupon the Prophet said (to us), This (effeminate man) should not enter upon you (anymore).
