Baab Talaq Ke Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ الْمُخَرِّمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا قُرَادٌ أَبُو نُوحٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : جَاءَتْ امْرَأَةُ ثَابِتِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ شَمَّاسٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا أَنْقِمُ عَلَى ثَابِتٍ فِي دِينٍ وَلَا خُلُقٍ إِلَّا أَنِّي أَخَافُ الْكُفْرَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : فَتَرُدِّينَ عَلَيْهِ حَدِيقَتَهُ ؟ فَقَالَتْ : نَعَمْ ، فَرَدَّتْ عَلَيْهِ ، وَأَمَرَهُ فَفَارَقَهَا .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے محمد بن عبداللہ بن مبارک مخری نے کہا، کہا ہم سے قراد ابونوح نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے جریر بن حازم نے بیان کیا، ان سے ایوب سختیانی نے، ان سے عکرمہ نے اور ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ   ثابت بن قیس بن شماس رضی اللہ عنہ کی بیوی نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئیں اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! ثابت کے دین اور ان کے اخلاق سے مجھے کوئی شکایت نہیں لیکن مجھے خطرہ ہے ( کہ میں ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ کی ناشکری میں نہ پھنس جاؤں ) ۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس پر ان سے دریافت فرمایا کہ کیا تم ان کا باغ ( جو انہوں نے مہر میں دیا تھا ) واپس کر سکتی ہو؟ انہوں نے عرض کیا جی ہاں۔ چنانچہ انہوں نے وہ باغ واپس کر دیا اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے حکم سے ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ نے انہیں اپنے سے جدا کر دیا۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The wife of Thabit bin Qais bin Shammas came to the Prophet and said, O Allah's Apostle! I do not blame Thabit for any defects in his character or his religion, but I am afraid that I (being a Muslim) may become unthankful for Allah's Blessings. On that, Allah's Apostle said (to her), 'Will you return his garden to him? She said, Yes. So she returned his garden to him and the Prophet told him to divorce her.
