Baab Talaq Ke Masail Ka Bayan

وَقَالَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، حَدَّثَتْنَا حَفْصَةُ ، حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ عَطِيَّةَ ، نَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَا تَمَسَّ طِيبًا إِلَّا أَدْنَى طُهْرِهَا إِذَا طَهُرَتْ نُبْذَةً مِنْ قُسْطٍ وَأَظْفَارٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد اللَّهِ : الْقُسْطُ وَالْكُسْتُ مِثْلُ الْكَافُورِ وَالْقَافُورِ .

Urdu Translation

امام بخاری رحمہ اللہ کے شیخ انصاری نے بیان کیا کہ ہم سے ہشام بن حسان نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے حفصہ بنت سیرین نے اور ان سے ام عطیہ نے کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے منع فرمایا کہ ( کسی میت پر ) خاوند کے سوا تین دن سے زیادہ سوگ کرنے سے اور ( فرمایا کہ ) خوشبو کا استعمال نہ کرے، سوا طہر کے وقت جب حیض سے پاک ہو تو تھوڑا سا عود ( قسط ) اور ( مقام ) اظفار ( کی خوشبو استعمال کر سکتی ہے ) ، ابوعبداللہ ( امام بخاری رحمہ اللہ ) کہتے ہیں کہ «قسط» اور «الكست» ایک ہی چیز ہیں، جیسے ”کافور“ اور ”قافور“ دونوں ایک ہیں۔

English Translation

Um 'Atiyya added: The Prophet said, She should not use perfume except when she becomes clean from her menses whereupon she can use Qust, and Azfar (two kinds of incense).
