حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، يَقُولُ : إِنَّ خَيَّاطًا دَعَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِطَعَامٍ صَنَعَهُ ، قَالَ أَنَسٌ : فَذَهَبْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَرَأَيْتُهُ يَتَتَبَّعُ الدُّبَّاءَ مِنْ حَوَالَيِ الْقَصْعَةِ ، قَالَ : فَلَمْ أَزَلْ أُحِبُّ الدُّبَّاءَ مِنْ يَوْمِئِذٍ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے قتیبہ بن سعید نے بیان کیا، ان سے امام مالک نے، ان سے اسحاق بن عبداللہ بن ابی طلحہ نے، انہوں نے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ   ایک درزی نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی کھانے کی دعوت کی جو انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لیے تیار کیا تھا۔ انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ میں بھی گیا، میں نے دیکھا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پیالہ میں چاروں طرف کدو تلاش کرتے تھے ( کھانے کے لیے ) بیان کیا کہ اسی دن سے کدو مجھ کو بھی بہت بھانے لگا۔

English Translation

Narrated Anas bin Malik: A tailor invited Allah's Apostle to a meal which he had prepared. I went along with Allah's Apostle and saw him seeking to eat the pieces of gourd from the various sides of the dish. Since that day I have liked to eat gourd. `Umar bin Abi Salama said: The Prophet, said to me, Eat with your right hand.
