Baab Aqiqa Ke Masail Ka Bayan

وَقَالَ أَصْبَغُ : أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السَّخْتِيَانِيِّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلْمَانُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيُّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : مَعَ الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَةٌ فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا وَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى .

Urdu Translation

اور اصبغ بن فرج نے بیان کیا کہ مجھے عبداللہ بن وہب نے خبر دی، انہیں جریر بن حازم نے، انہیں ایوب سختیانی نے، انہیں محمد بن سیرین نے کہ ہم سے سلمان بن عامر الضبی رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ   میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ لڑکے کے ساتھ اس کا عقیقہ لگا ہوا ہے اس لیے اس کی طرف سے جانور ذبح کرو اور اس سے بال دور کرو ( سر منڈا دو یا ختنہ کرو ) ۔

English Translation

Narrated Salman bin 'Amir Ad-Dabbi: I heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'Aqiqa is to be offered for a (newly born) boy, so slaughter (an animal) for him, and relieve him of his suffering.
