Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that.

حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَلْحَلَةَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : مَا يُصِيبُ الْمُسْلِمَ مِنْ نَصَبٍ ، وَلَا وَصَبٍ ، وَلَا هَمٍّ ، وَلَا حُزْنٍ ، وَلَا أَذًى ، وَلَا غَمٍّ ، حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةِ يُشَاكُهَا ، إِلَّا كَفَّرَ اللَّهُ بِهَا مِنْ خَطَايَاهُ .

ہم سے عبداللہ بن محمد نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے عبدالملک بن عمرو نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے زہیر بن محمد نے بیان کیا، ان سے محمد بن عمرو بن حلحلہ نے، ان سے عطاء بن یسار نے اور ان سے ابو سعید خدری اور ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ مسلمان جب بھی کسی پریشانی، بیماری، رنج و ملال، تکلیف اور غم میں مبتلا ہو جاتا ہے یہاں تک کہ اگر اسے کوئی کانٹا بھی چبھ جائے تو اللہ تعالیٰ اسے اس کے گناہوں کا کفارہ بنا دیتا ہے۔
