Baab Amraaz Aur In Ke Elaaj Ke Bayan Main

حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَشْعَثُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ مُقَرِّنٍ ، عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسَبْعٍ ، وَنَهَانَا عَنْ سَبْعٍ ، نَهَانَا عَنْ : خَاتَمِ الذَّهَبِ ، وَلُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ ، وَالدِّيبَاجِ ، وَالْإِسْتَبْرَقِ ، وَعَنِ الْقَسِّيِّ ، وَالْمِيثَرَةِ وَأَمَرَنَا : أَنْ نَتْبَعَ الْجَنَائِزَ ، وَنَعُودَ الْمَرِيضَ ، وَنُفْشِيَ السَّلَامَ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے حفص بن عمر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھے اشعث بن سلیم نے خبر دی، کہا کہ میں نے معاویہ بن سوید بن مقرن سے سنا، ان سے براء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں سات باتوں کا حکم دیا تھا اور سات باتوں سے منع فرمایا تھا۔ ہمیں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سونے کی انگوٹھی، ریشم، دیبا، استبرق ( ریشمی کپڑے ) پہننے سے اور قسی اور مثیرہ ( ریشمی ) کپڑوں کی دیگر جملہ قسمیں پہننے سے منع فرمایا تھا اور آپ نے ہمیں یہ حکم دیا تھا کہ ہم جنازہ کے پیچھے چلیں، مریض کی مزاج پرسی کریں اور سلام کو پھیلائیں۔

English Translation

Narrated Al-Bara bin Azib: Allah's Apostle ordered us to do seven things and forbade us to do seven other things. He forbade us to wear gold rings, silk, Dibaj, Istabriq, Qissy, and Maithara; and ordered us to accompany funeral processions, visit the sick and greet everybody. (See Hadith No. 104)
