حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ بُرَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ أَنَا وَأَصْحَابِي الَّذِينَ قَدِمُوا مَعِي فِي السَّفِينَةِ نُزُولًا فِي بَقِيعِ بُطْحَانَ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ ، فَكَانَ يَتَنَاوَبُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ نَفَرٌ مِنْهُمْ ، فَوَافَقْنَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَا وَأَصْحَابِي وَلَهُ بَعْضُ الشُّغْلِ فِي بَعْضِ أَمْرِهِ ، فَأَعْتَمَ بِالصَّلَاةِ حَتَّى ابْهَارَّ اللَّيْلُ ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ ، قَالَ لِمَنْ حَضَرَهُ عَلَى رِسْلِكُمْ : أَبْشِرُوا إِنَّ مِنْ نِعْمَةِ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ يُصَلِّي هَذِهِ السَّاعَةَ غَيْرُكُمْ ، أَوْ قَالَ مَا صَلَّى هَذِهِ السَّاعَةَ أَحَدٌ غَيْرُكُمْ ، لَا يَدْرِي أَيَّ الْكَلِمَتَيْنِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى : فَرَجَعْنَا فَفَرِحْنَا بِمَا سَمِعْنَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے محمد بن علاء نے بیان کیا کہا ہم سے ابواسامہ نے برید کے واسطہ سے، انہوں نے ابی بردہ سے انہوں نے ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ سے، آپ نے فرمایا کہ   میں نے اپنے ان ساتھیوں کے ساتھ جو کشتی میں میرے ساتھ ( حبشہ سے ) آئے تھے ”بقیع بطحان“ میں قیام کیا۔ اس وقت نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مدینہ میں تشریف رکھتے تھے۔ ہم میں سے کوئی نہ کوئی عشاء کی نماز میں روزانہ باری مقرر کر کے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا کرتا تھا۔ اتفاق سے میں اور میرے ایک ساتھی ایک مرتبہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنے کسی کام میں مشغول تھے۔ ( کسی ملی معاملہ میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اور ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ گفتگو فرما رہے تھے ) جس کی وجہ سے نماز میں دیر ہو گئی اور تقریباً آدھی رات گزر گئی۔ پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تشریف لائے اور نماز پڑھائی۔ نماز پوری کر چکے تو حاضرین سے فرمایا کہ اپنی اپنی جگہ پر وقار کے ساتھ بیٹھے رہو اور ایک خوشخبری سنو۔ تمہارے سوا دنیا میں کوئی بھی ایسا آدمی نہیں جو اس وقت نماز پڑھتا ہو، یا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ فرمایا کہ تمہارے سوا اس وقت کسی ( امت ) نے بھی نماز نہیں پڑھی تھی۔ یہ یقین نہیں کہ آپ نے ان دو جملوں میں سے کون سا جملہ کہا تھا۔ پھر راوی نے کہا کہ ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا۔ پس ہم نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے یہ سن کر بہت ہی خوش ہو کر لوٹے۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Musa: My companions, who came with me in the boat and I landed at a place called Baqi [??] Buthan [??] . The Prophet was in Medina at that time. One of us used to go to the Prophet by turns every night at the time of the `Isha prayer. Once I along with my companions went to the Prophet and he was busy in some of his affairs, so the `Isha' prayer was delayed to the middle of the night He then came out and led the people (in prayer). After finishing from the prayer, he addressed the people present there saying, Be patient! Don't go away. Have the glad tiding. It is from the blessing of Allah upon you that none amongst mankind has prayed at this time save you. Or said, None except you has prayed at this time. Abu Musa added, 'So we returned happily after what we heard from Allah's Apostle .
