Baab Dawa Aur Elaaj Ke Bayan Main

حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : الْحُمَّى مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ فَأَطْفِئُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ ، قَالَ نَافِعٌ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ : اكْشِفْ عَنَّا الرِّجْزَ .

Urdu Translation

مجھ سے یحییٰ بن سلیمان نے بیان کیا، کہا مجھ سے ابن وہب نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھ سے امام مالک نے بیان کیا، ان سے نافع نے اور ان سے ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”بخار جہنم کی بھاپ میں سے ہے پس اس کی گرمی کو پانی سے بجھاؤ۔“ نافع نے بیان کیا کہ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما ( کو جب بخار آتا تو ) یوں دعا کرتے کہ ”اللہ! ہم سے اس عذاب کو دور کر دے۔“

English Translation

Narrated Nazi': `Abdullah bin `Umar said, The Prophet said, 'Fever is from the heat of Hell, so put it out (cool it) with water.' Nafi` added: `Abdullah used to say, O Allah! Relieve us from the punishment, (when he suffered from fever).
