حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَلْبَسَ الْمُحْرِمُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ أَوْ وَرْسٍ وَقَالَ : مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ خُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے عبداللہ بن یوسف تینسی نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم کو امام مالک نے خبر دی، انہوں نے کہا ہمیں عبداللہ بن دینار نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے محرم کو زعفران یا ورس سے رنگا ہوا کپڑا پہننے سے منع فرمایا تھا اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جسے جوتے نہ ملیں وہ موزے ہی پہن لیں لیکن ان کو ٹخنے کے نیچے تک کاٹ دیں۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn `Umar: Allah's Apostle forbade that a Muhrim should wear clothes dyed with Saffron or Wars, and said, Whoever has no shoes can put on Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather) after cutting it below the ankles.
