Baab Libaas Ke Bayan Main

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَجَعَلَ فَصَّهُ مِمَّا يَلِي كَفَّهُ ، فَاتَّخَذَهُ النَّاسُ ، فَرَمَى بِهِ وَاتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ أَوْ فِضَّةٍ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے مسدد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبیداللہ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھ سے نافع نے بیان کیا اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سونے کی ایک انگوٹھی بنوائی اور اس کا نگینہ ہتھیلی کی جانب رکھا پھر کچھ دوسرے لوگوں نے بھی اسی طرح کی انگوٹھیاں بنوا لیں۔ آخر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے پھینک دیا اور چاندی کی انگوٹھی بنوا لی۔

English Translation

Narrated `Abdullah: Allah's Apostle wore a gold or silver .. ring and placed its stone towards the palm of his hand. The people also started wearing gold rings like it, but when the Prophet saw them wearing such rings, he threw away that golden ring and then wore a silver ring.
