Narrated `Abdullah bin `Amr: A man said to the Prophet, Shall I participate in Jihad? The Prophet said, Are your parents living? The man said, Yes. the Prophet said, Do Jihad for their benefit.

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، وَشُعْبَةَ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبٌ ، قَالَ : . ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أُجَاهِدُ قَالَ : لَكَ أَبَوَانِ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : فَفِيهِمَا فَجَاهِدْ .

ہم سے مسدد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے یحییٰ نے بیان کیا، ان سے سفیان اور شعبہ نے بیان کیا کہ ہم سے حبیب نے بیان کیا (دوسری سند) امام بخاری رحمہ اللہ نے کہا اور ہم سے محمد بن کثیر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو سفیان نے خبر دی، انہیں حبیب نے، انہیں ابوعباس نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عمرو نے بیان کیا کہ   ایک صحابی نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا کیا میں بھی جہاد میں شریک ہو جاؤں؟ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دریافت فرمایا کہ تمہارے ماں باپ موجود ہیں انہوں نے کہا کہ جی ہاں موجود ہیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ پھر انہیں میں جہاد کرو۔
