حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ : عَطَسَ رَجُلَانِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَشَمَّتَ أَحَدَهُمَا وَلَمْ يُشَمِّتِ الْآخَرَ ، فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، شَمَّتَّ هَذَا وَلَمْ تُشَمِّتْنِي ، قَالَ : إِنَّ هَذَا حَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَلَمْ تَحْمَدِ اللَّهَ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے آدم بن ابی ایاس نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سلیمان تیمی نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ میں نے انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی موجودگی میں دو آدمیوں نے چھینکا۔ لیکن نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان میں سے ایک کی چھینک پر یرحمک اللہ کہا اور دوسرے کی چھینک پر نہیں کہا۔ اس پر دوسرا شخص بولا کہ یا رسول اللہ! آپ نے ان کی چھینک پر یرحمک اللہ فرمایا۔ لیکن میری چھینک پر نہیں فرمایا؟ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ انہوں نے الحمدللہ کہا تھا اور تم نے نہیں کہا تھا۔

English Translation

Narrated Anas: Two men sneezed before the Prophet and he said Tashmit to one of them, while he did not say Tashmit to the other. So that man said, O Allah's Apostle! You said Tashmit to that fellow but you did not say Tashmit to me. The Prophet said, That man praised Allah, but you did not praise Allah.
