Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet said, The example of the one who celebrates the Praises of his Lord (Allah) in comparison to the one who does not celebrate the Praises of his Lord, is that of a living creature compared to a dead one.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَذْكُرُ رَبَّهُ وَالَّذِي لَا يَذْكُرُ رَبَّهُ ، مَثَلُ الْحَيِّ وَالْمَيِّتِ .

ہم سے محمد بن علاء نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابواسامہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے یزید بن عبداللہ نے، ان سے ابوبردہ نے اور ان سے ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”اس شخص کی مثال جو اپنے رب کو یاد کرتا ہے اور اس کی مثال جو اپنے رب کو یاد نہیں کرتا زندہ اور مردہ جیسی ہے۔“
