حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، قَالَ : أُهْدِيَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَرَقَةٌ مِنْ حَرِيرٍ ، فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَتَدَاوَلُونَهَا بَيْنَهُمْ ، وَيَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ حُسْنِهَا وَلِينِهَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَتَعْجَبُونَ مِنْهَا ؟ ، قَالُوا : نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، خَيْرٌ مِنْهَا ، لَمْ يَقُلْ شُعْبَةُ ، وَإِسْرَائِيلُ : عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ : وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے محمد بن سلام نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابوالاحوص نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابواسحاق نے، ان سے براء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں ریشم کا ایک ٹکڑا ہدیہ کے طور پر آیا تو لوگ اسے دست بدست اپنے ہاتھوں میں لینے لگے اور اس کی خوبصورتی اور نرمی پر حیرت کرنے لگے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس پر فرمایا کہ تمہیں اس پر حیرت ہے؟ صحابہ نے عرض کی جی ہاں، یا رسول اللہ! نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے، سعد رضی اللہ عنہ کے رومال جنت میں اس سے بھی اچھے ہیں۔ شعبہ اور اسرائیل نے ابواسحاق سے الفاظ ”اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے“ کا ذکر نہیں کیا۔

English Translation

Narrated Al-Bara 'bin `Azib: A piece of silken cloth was given to the Prophet as a present and the people handed it over amongst themselves and were astonished at its beauty and softness. Allah's Apostle said, Are you astonished at it? They said, Yes, O Allah's Apostle! He said, By Him in Whose Hand my soul is, the handkerchiefs of Sa`d in Paradise are better than it.
