Narrated `Aisha: The Prophet said, The hand should be cut off for stealing something that is worth a quarter of a Dinar or more.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : تُقْطَعُ الْيَدُ فِي رُبُعِ دِينَارٍ ، فَصَاعِدًا ، تَابَعَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، وَابْنُ أَخِي الزُّهْرِيِّ ، وَمَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ .

ہم سے عبداللہ بن مسلمہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابراہیم بن سعد نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابن شہاب نے بیان کیا، ان سے عمرہ نے بیان کیا اور ان سے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”چوتھائی دینار یا اس سے زیادہ پر ہاتھ کاٹ لیا جائے گا۔“ اس روایت کی متابعت عبدالرحمٰن بن خالد زہری کے بھتیجے اور معمر نے زہری کے واسطہ سے کی۔
