Baab Hukumat Or Qaza Ka Bayan Mein

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ : حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّمَرْوَانَ بْنَ الْحَكَمِ ، وَالْمِسْوَرَ بْنَ مَخْرَمَةَ ، أَخْبَرَاهُ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ حِينَ أَذِنَ لَهُمُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ فِي عِتْقِ سَبْيِ هَوَازِنَ : إِنِّي لَا أَدْرِي مَنْ أَذِنَ مِنْكُمْ مِمَّنْ لَمْ يَأْذَنْ ، فَارْجِعُوا حَتَّى يَرْفَعَ إِلَيْنَا عُرَفَاؤُكُمْ أَمْرَكُمْ ، فَرَجَعَ النَّاسُ ، فَكَلَّمَهُمْ عُرَفَاؤُهُمْ ، فَرَجَعُوا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَخْبَرُوهُ أَنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ طَيَّبُوا وَأَذِنُوا .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے اسماعیل بن ابی اویس نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے اسماعیل بن ابراہیم نے بیان کیا، ان سے ان کے چچا موسیٰ بن عقبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابن شہاب نے بیان کیا، ان سے عروہ بن زبیر نے بیان کیا اور انہیں مروان بن حکم اور مسور بن مخرمہ رضی اللہ عنہم نے خبر دی کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے، جب مسلمانوں نے قبیلہ ہوازن کے قیدیوں کو اجازت دی تو فرمایا کہ مجھے نہیں معلوم کہ تم میں سے کس نے اجازت دی ہے اور کس نے نہیں دی ہے۔ پس واپس جاؤ اور تمہارا معاملہ ہمارے پاس تمہارے نقیب یا چودھری اور تمہارے سردار لائیں۔ چنانچہ لوگ واپس چلے گئے اور ان کے ذمہ داروں نے ان سے بات کی اور پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو آ کر اطلاع دی کہ لوگوں نے دلی خوشی سے اجازت دے دی ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated `Urwa bin Az-Zubair: Marwan bin Al-Hakam and Al-Miswar bin Makhrama told him that when the Muslims were permitted to set free the captives of Hawazin, Allah's Apostle said, I do not know who amongst you has agreed (to it) and who has not. Go back so that your 'Urafa' may submit your decision to us. So the people returned and their 'Urafa' talked to them and then came back to Allah's Apostle and told him that the people had given their consent happily and permitted (their captives to be freed).
