Baab Hukumat Or Qaza Ka Bayan Mein

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ كُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : بَلَغَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ أَعْتَقَ غُلَامًا لَهُ عَنْ دُبُرٍ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرَهُ ، فَبَاعَهُ بِثَمَانِ مِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ ، ثُمَّ أَرْسَلَ بِثَمَنِهِ إِلَيْهِ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے ابن نمیر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے محمد بن بشر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سلمہ بن کہیل نے بیان کیا، ان سے عطاء نے اور ان سے جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو معلوم ہوا کہ آپ کے صحابہ میں سے ایک نے اپنے غلام کو مدبر بنا دیا ہے ( کہ ان کی موت کے بعد وہ آزاد ہو جائے گا ) چونکہ ان کے پاس اس کے سوا اور کوئی مال نہیں تھا اس لیے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس غلام کو آٹھ سو درہم میں بیچ دیا اور اس کی قیمت انہیں بھیج دی۔

English Translation

Narrated Jabir: The Prophet came to know that one of his companions had given the promise of freeing his slave after his death, but as he had no other property than that slave, the Prophet sold that slave for 800 dirhams and sent the price to him.
