حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الْإِمَامُ لِيُؤْتَمَّ بِهِ ، فَإِذَا كَبَّرَ فَكَبِّرُوا ، وَإِذَا رَكَعَ فَارْكَعُوا ، وَإِذَا قَالَ : سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ فَقُولُوا رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ ، وَإِذَا سَجَدَ فَاسْجُدُوا ، وَإِذَا صَلَّى جَالِسًا فَصَلُّوا جُلُوسًا أَجْمَعُونَ .
ہم سے ابوالیمان نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہمیں شعیب نے خبر دی، انہوں نے کہا کہ ابوالزناد نے مجھ سے بیان کیا اعرج کے واسطہ سے، انہوں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے انہوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، امام اس لیے ہے کہ اس کی پیروی کی جائے، اس لیے جب وہ تکبیر کہے تو تم بھی تکبیر کہو۔ جب وہ رکوع کرے تو تم بھی رکوع کرو اور جب وہ «سمع الله لمن حمده» کہے تو تم «ربنا ولك الحمد» اور جب وہ سجدہ کرے تو تم بھی سجدہ کرو اور جب وہ بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھے تو تم سب بھی بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھو۔
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, The Imam is to be followed. Say the Takbir when he says it; bow if he bows; if he says 'Sami`a l-lahu liman hamidah', say, ' Rabbana wa laka l-hamd', prostrate if he prostrates and pray sitting altogether if he prays sitting.
