Baab Allah Ki Tauheed Is Ki Zaat Aur Sifaat Ka Bayan Main

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَمِعَ رَجُلًا يَقْرَأُ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ يُرَدِّدُهَا فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَذَكَرَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ وَكَأَنَّ الرَّجُلَ يَتَقَالُّهَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّهَا لَتَعْدِلُ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ ، زَادَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَخِي قَتَادَةُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے اسماعیل بن ابی اویس نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا مجھ سے امام مالک نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبدالرحمٰن بن عبداللہ بن عبدالرحمٰن بن ابی صعصعہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے ان کے والد نے اور ان سے ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ   ایک شخص نے ایک دوسرے شخص قتادہ بن نعمان کو باربار قل ھو اللہ احد پڑھتے سنا۔ صبح ہوئی تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہو کر اس طرح واقعہ بیان کیا جیسے وہ اسے کم سمجھتے ہوں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے! یہ سورت تہائی قرآن کے برابر ہے۔ اسماعیل بن جعفر نے امام مالک سے یہ بڑھایا کہ ان سے عبدالرحمٰن نے، ان سے ان کے والد نے اور ان سے ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ مجھے میرے بھائی قتادہ بن نعمان نے خبر دی نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: A man heard another man reciting (in the prayers): 'Say (O Muhammad): He is Allah, the One. (112.1) And he recited it repeatedly. When it was morning, he went to the Prophet and informed him about that as if he considered that the recitation of that Sura by itself was not enough. Allah's Apostle said, By Him in Whose Hand my life is, it is equal to one-third of the Qur'an.
