Sunan Abu Dawood 1010 - Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat)

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ،‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُفَضَّلِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَلْقَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَعْنَى حَمَّادٍ كُلِّهِ إِلَى آخِرِ قَوْلِهِ:‏‏‏‏ نُبِّئْتُ أَنَّ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ فَالتَّشَهُّدُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَمْ أَسْمَعْ فِي التَّشَهُّدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ أَنْ يَتَشَهَّدَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ يُسَمِّيهِ ذَا الْيَدَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا ذَكَرَ:‏‏‏‏ فَأَوْمَئُوا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا ذَكَرَ:‏‏‏‏ الْغَضَبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَدِيثُ حَمَّادٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَتَمُّ.

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں نماز پڑھائی، پھر راوی نے پورے طور سے حماد کی روایت کے ہم معنی روایت ان کے قول: «نبئت أن عمران بن حصين قال ثم سلم» تک ذکر کی۔ سلمہ بن علقمہ کہتے ہیں: میں نے ان سے ( یعنی محمد بن سیرین سے ) پوچھا کہ آپ نے تشہد پڑھا یا نہیں؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: میں نے تشہد کے سلسلے میں کچھ نہیں سنا ہے لیکن میرے نزدیک تشہد پڑھنا بہتر ہے، لیکن اس روایت میں آپ انہیں ذوالیدین کہتے تھے کا ذکر نہیں ہے اور نہ لوگوں کے اشارہ کرنے کا اور نہ ہی ناراضگی کا ذکر ہے، حماد کی حدیث جو انہوں نے ایوب سے روایت کی ہے زیادہ کامل ہے۔

English Translation

Abu Hurairah said ; The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم led us in prayer. He then narrated the same version reported by Hammad up to the words “we are sure that Imran bin Husain said: then he gave the salutation. ” The narrator said: I asked; What about the Tashahud? He replied: I did not hear thing about the tashahhud, but it is more liking to me that one should recite the tashahhud. This version has not the words “whom he called the possessor of arms (Dhu al-yadain). ” Nor the words “they made a sign, ” nor the word “anger”. The tradition narrated by Hammad from Ayyub is more perfect.
