حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي الْخُوَارِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ نَافِعَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ أَرْسَلَهُ إِلَى السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ابْنَ أُخْتِ نَمِرٍ يَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ رَأَى مِنْهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ الْجُمُعَةَ فِي الْمَقْصُورَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا سَلَّمْتُ قُمْتُ فِي مَقَامِي فَصَلَّيْتُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ أَرْسَلَ إِلَيَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تَعُدْ لِمَا صَنَعْتَ إِذَا صَلَّيْتَ الْجُمُعَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَا تَصِلْهَا بِصَلَاةٍ حَتَّى تَكَلَّمَ أَوْ تَخْرُجَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ بِذَلِكَ أَنْ لَا تُوصَلَ صَلَاةٌ بِصَلَاةٍ حَتَّى يَتَكَلَّمَ أَوْ يَخْرُجَ .

Urdu Translation

ابن جریج کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے عمر بن عطاء بن ابی الخوار نے خبر دی ہے کہ   نافع بن جبیر نے انہیں ایک چیز کے متعلق، جسے معاویہ بن ابی سفیان رضی اللہ عنہما نے نماز میں انہیں کرتے ہوئے دیکھا تھا، سائب بن یزید کے پاس مسئلہ پوچھنے کے لیے بھیجا، تو انہوں نے بتایا کہ میں نے معاویہ کے ساتھ مسجد کے کمرہ میں نماز جمعہ ادا کی، جب میں نے سلام پھیرا تو اپنی اسی جگہ پر اٹھ کر پھر نماز پڑھی تو جب وہ گھر تشریف لائے تو مجھے بلوایا اور کہا: جو تم نے کیا ہے، اسے پھر دوبارہ نہ کرنا، جب تم جمعہ پڑھ چکو تو اس کے ساتھ دوسری نماز نہ ملاؤ، جب تک کہ بات نہ کر لو یا نکل نہ جاؤ، کیونکہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسی کا حکم دیا ہے کہ کوئی نماز کسی نماز سے ملائی نہ جائے جب تک کہ بات نہ کر لی جائے یا باہر نکل نہ لیا جائے ۱؎۔

English Translation

Umar bin Ata bin Abu al-Khuwar said that Nafi bin Jubair sent him to al-Saib bin Yazid bin Ukht Namir to ask him about something Muawiyyah had seen him do in prayer. He said: I offered the Friday prayer along with him in enclosure. When I uttered the salutation I stood up in my place and prayed. When he went in, he sent me a message saying: Never again do what you have done. When you pray the Friday prayer, you must not join another prayer to it till you have engaged in conversation or gone out, for the Prophet of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم gave the precise command not to join on prayer till you have engaged in conversation or gone out.
