Narrated Ibn Abbas: The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم prayed at solar eclipse; he recited from the Quran and then bowed; then he recited from the Quran and then bowed; he then recited from the Quran and bowed; he then recited fromt eh Quran and bowed. Then he prostrated himself and performed the second rak'ah similar to the first.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهُ صَلَّى فِي كُسُوفِ الشَّمْسِ، فَقَرَأَ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ وَالْأُخْرَى مِثْلُهَا .
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ آپ نے سورج گرہن کی نماز پڑھی تو قرآت کی، پھر رکوع کیا، پھر قرآت کی، پھر رکوع کیا، پھر قرآت کی، پھر رکوع کیا، پھر قرآت کی، پھر رکوع کیا، پھر سجدہ کیا، اور دوسری ( رکعت ) بھی اسی طرح پڑھی۔
