حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ: كَيْفَ كَانَ عَمَلُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ هَلْ كَانَ يَخُصُّ شَيْئًا مِنَ الْأَيَّامِ ؟ قَالَتْ: لَا، كَانَ كُلُّ عَمَلِهِ دِيمَةً وَأَيُّكُمْ يَسْتَطِيعُ مَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَطِيعُ ؟.
علقمہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے پوچھا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے عمل کا حال کیسا تھا؟ کیا آپ عمل کے لیے کچھ دن خاص کر لیتے تھے؟ انہوں نے کہا: نہیں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا ہر عمل مداومت و پابندی کے ساتھ ہوتا تھا اور تم میں کون اتنی طاقت رکھتا ہے جتنی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم رکھتے تھے؟ ۔
Alqamah said: Aishah was asked about the actions of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. Did he perform some actions exclusively on some particular days ? She said: No, he performed his actions regularly. Which of you has the strength as much as the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم had ?
