Sunan Abu Dawood 1615 - Zakat (Kitab Al-Zakat)

Abdullah (bin Umar) said “The people then began to pay half a sa’ of wheat later on. The narrator said: Abdullah (bin Umar) use to pay dried dates as sadaqah one year the people of Madina lacked dried dates, hence he paid barley.

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْعَتَكِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ:‏‏‏‏ فَعَدَلَ النَّاسُ بَعْدُ نِصْفَ صَاعٍ مِنْ بُرٍّ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يُعْطِي التَّمْرَ فَأُعْوِزَ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ التَّمْرَ عَامًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَعْطَى الشَّعِيرَ.

نافع کہتے ہیں کہ   عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا: اس کے بعد لوگوں نے آدھے صاع گیہوں کو ایک صاع کے برابر کر لیا، عبداللہ ( ایک صاع ) کھجور ہی دیا کرتے تھے، ایک سال مدینے میں کھجور کا ملنا دشوار ہو گیا تو انہوں نے جو دیا۔
