Sunan Abu Dawood 1624 - Zakat (Kitab Al-Zakat)

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْحَكَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حُجَيَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ الْعَبَّاسَ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي تَعْجِيلِ صَدَقَتِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَحِلَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَرَخَّصَ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ مَرَّةً:‏‏‏‏ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ هُشَيْمٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْحَكَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَدِيثُ هُشَيْمٍ أَصَحُّ.

Urdu Translation

علی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   عباس رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے زکاۃ جلدی ( یعنی سال گزرنے سے پہلے ) دینے کے بارے میں پوچھا تو آپ نے ان کو اس کی اجازت دی۔ راوی نے ایک بار «فرخص له في ذلك» کے بجائے «فأذن له في ذلك» روایت کی ہے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث ہشیم نے منصور بن زاذان سے، منصور نے حکم سے حکم نے حسن بن مسلم سے اور حسن بن مسلم نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ( مرسلاً ) روایت کی ہے اور ہشیم کی حدیث سب سے زیادہ صحیح ہے، ( یعنی: اس روایت کا مرسل بلکہ معضل ہونا ہی زیادہ صحیح ہے ) ۔

English Translation

Narrated Ali ibn Abu Talib: Al-Abbas asked the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم about paying the sadaqah (his zakat) in advance before it became due, and he gave permission to do that. Abu Dawud said: This tradition has also been transmitted by Hushaim through a different chain of narrators. The version of Hushaim is more sound.
