Sunan Abu Dawood 1667 - Zakat (Kitab Al-Zakat)

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ بُجَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ بُجَيْدٍوَكَانَتْ مِمَّنْ بَايَعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّ الْمِسْكِينَ لَيَقُومُ عَلَى بَابِي فَمَا أَجِدُ لَهُ شَيْئًا أُعْطِيهِ إِيَّاهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنْ لَمْ تَجِدِي لَهُ شَيْئًا تُعْطِينَهُ إِيَّاهُ إِلَّا ظِلْفًا مُحْرَقًا فَادْفَعِيهِ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَدِهِ .

Urdu Translation

ام بجید رضی اللہ عنہا یہ ان لوگوں میں سے تھیں جنہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بیعت کی تھی، وہ کہتی ہیں   میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! میرے دروازے پر مسکین کھڑا ہوتا ہے لیکن میرے پاس کوئی ایسی چیز نہیں ہوتی جو میں اسے دوں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے فرمایا: اگر تمہیں کوئی ایسی چیز نہ ملے جو تم اسے دے سکو سوائے ایک جلے ہوئے کھر کے تو وہی اس کے ہاتھ میں دے دو ۔

English Translation

Narrated Umm Bujayd: She took the oath of allegiance to the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and said to him: Messenger of Allah, a poor man stands at my door, but I find nothing to give him. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said to her: If you do not find anything to give him, put something in his hand, even though it should be a burnt hoof.
