حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ جَعْدَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَيُّ الصَّدَقَةِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ جُهْدُ الْمُقِلِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ .

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   انہوں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! کون سا صدقہ افضل ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کم مال والے کا تکلیف اٹھا کر دینا اور پہلے ان لوگوں کو دو جن کا تم خرچ اٹھاتے ہو ۔

English Translation

Abu Hurairah reported I asked Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, What kind of sadaqah is most excellent? He replied What a man with little property can afford to give; and begin with those for whom you are responsible.
