Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: Salim ibn Abdullah said: Abdullah ibn Umar used to do so, that is to say, he would cut the shoes of a woman who put on ihram; then Safiyyah, daughter of Abu Ubayd, reported to him that Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated to her that the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم gave licence to women in respect of the shoes (i. e. women are not required to cut the shoes). He, therefore, abandoned it.

محمد بن اسحاق کہتے ہیں

میں نے ابن شہاب سے ذکر کیا تو انہوں نے کہا: مجھ سے سالم بن عبداللہ نے بیان کیا ہے کہ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما ایسا ہی کرتے تھے یعنی محرم عورت کے موزوں کو کاٹ دیتے ۱؎، پھر ان سے صفیہ بنت ابی عبید نے بیان کیا کہ ان سے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا ن  تخریج دارالدعوہ: تفرد بہ أبو داود، ( تحفة الأشراف: ۱۷۸۶۷ ) ، وقد أخرجہ: مسند احمد ( ۲/۲۹، ۳۵، ۶/۳۵ ) ( حسن ) ( محمد بن اسحاق کی یہ روایت معنعن نہیں ہے بلکہ اسے انہوں نے زہری سے بالمشافہہ اخذ کیا ہے، اس لئے حسن ہے )
