حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَالِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَمَّا يَقْتُلُ الْمُحْرِمُ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ خَمْسٌ لَا جُنَاحَ فِي قَتْلِهِنَّ عَلَى مَنْ قَتَلَهُنَّ فِي الْحِلِّ وَالْحُرُمِ:‏‏‏‏ الْعَقْرَبُ وَالْفَأْرَةُ وَالْحِدَأَةُ وَالْغُرَابُ وَالْكَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا گیا کہ محرم کون کون سا جانور قتل کر سکتا ہے؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: پانچ جانور ہیں جنہیں حل اور حرم دونوں جگہوں میں مارنے میں کوئی حرج نہیں: بچھو، چوہیا، چیل، کوا اور کاٹ کھانے والا کتا ۔

English Translation

Ibn Umar said The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم was asked as to which of the creatures could be killed by a pilgrim in the sacred state. He said there are five creatures which it is not a sin for anyone to kill, outside or inside the sacred area. The Scorpion, the Crow, the Rat, the Kite and the biting Dog.
