حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمَعْنَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْحَكَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَمَّا انْتَهَى إِلَى الْجَمْرَةِ الْكُبْرَى جَعَلَ الْبَيْتَ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ وَ مِنًى عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَرَمَى الْجَمْرَةَ بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَكَذَا رَمَى الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   جب وہ جمرہ کبری ( جمرہ عقبہ ) کے پاس آئے تو بیت اللہ کو اپنے بائیں جانب اور منیٰ کو دائیں جانب کیا اور جمرے کو سات کنکریاں ماریں، اور کہا: اسی طرح اس ذات نے بھی کنکریاں ماری تھیں جس پر سورۃ البقرہ نازل کی گئی۔

English Translation

Narrated Abdur-Rahman bin Yazid: On the authority of Ibn Masud: When Ibn Masud came to the largest jamrah, he stood with the House (the Kabah) on his left and Mina on his right, and he thew seven pebbles at the jamrah. Then he said: Thus he did throw to whom Surat al-Baqarah was sent down.
