حَدَّثَنَا حَامِدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْنٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنِي دَاوُدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْرَبِيعَةَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْهُدَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا سَمِعْتُ طَلْحَةَ بْنَ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ يُحَدِّثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدِيثًا قَطُّ غَيْرَ حَدِيثٍ وَاحِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ وَمَا هُوَ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُرِيدُ قُبُورَ الشُّهَدَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَتَّى إِذَا أَشْرَفْنَا عَلَى حَرَّةِ وَاقِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا تَدَلَّيْنَا مِنْهَا وَإِذَا قُبُورٌ بِمَحْنِيَّةٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْنَا:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَقُبُورُ إِخْوَانِنَا هَذِهِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُبُورُ أَصْحَابِنَا فَلَمَّا جِئْنَا قُبُورَ الشُّهَدَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذِهِ قُبُورُ إِخْوَانِنَا .

Urdu Translation

ربیعہ بن ہدیر کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے طلحہ بن عبیداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو سوائے اس ایک حدیث کے کوئی اور حدیث رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کرتے نہیں سنا، میں نے عرض کیا: وہ کون سی حدیث ہے؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: ہم لوگ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ نکلے، آپ شہداء کی قبروں کا ارادہ رکھتے تھے جب ہم حرۂ واقم ( ایک ٹیلے کا نام ہے ) پر چڑھے اور اس پر سے اترے تو دیکھا کہ وادی کے موڑ پر کئی قبریں ہیں، ہم نے پوچھا: اللہ کے رسول! کیا ہمارے بھائیوں کی قبریں یہی ہیں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ہمارے صحابہ کی قبریں ہیں ۱؎ ، جب ہم شہداء کی قبروں کے پاس پہنچے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ ہمارے بھائیوں کی قبریں ہیں ۲؎ ۔

English Translation

Narrated Rabiah ibn al-Hudayr: Rabiah ibn al-Hudayr said: I did not hear Talhah ibn Ubaydullah narrating any tradition from the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم except one tradition. I (Rabiah ibn Abu Abdur Rahman) asked: What is that? He said: We went out along with the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم who was going to visit the graves of the martyrs. When we ascended Harrah Waqim, and then descended from it, we found there some graves at the turning of the valley. We asked: Messenger of Allah, are these the graves of our brethren? He replied: Graves of our companions. When we came to the graves of martyrs, he said: These are the graves of our brethren.
