The aforesaid tradition has also been transmitted by Ali through a different chain of narrators from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم to the same effect.

حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ خَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَامِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْحَارِثِ الْأَعْوَرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَرَأَيْنَا أَنَّهُ عَلِيٌّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏بِمَعْنَاهُ.

حارث الاعور رضی اللہ عنہ ایک صحابی رسول سے روایت کرتے ہیں اور کہتے ہیں کہ   ہمارا خیال ہے کہ وہ علی رضی اللہ عنہ ہیں جنہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کی ہے آگے راوی نے اسی مفہوم کی حدیث ذکر کی۔
