Sunan Abu Dawood 2108 - Marriage (Kitab Al-Nikah)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمِ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يُونُسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ النَّجَاشِيَّ زَوَّجَ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى صَدَاقِ أَرْبَعَةِ آلَافِ دِرْهَمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَتَبَ بِذَلِكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَبِلَ .

Urdu Translation

ابن شہاب زہری سے روایت ہے کہ   نجاشی ( شاہ حبشہ ) نے ام حبیبہ بنت ابی سفیان رضی اللہ عنہما کا نکاح رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ چار ہزار درہم کے عوض کر دیا اور یہ بات آپ کو لکھ بھیجی تو آپ نے قبول فرما لیا

English Translation

Az-Zuhri said: The Negus married Umm Habibah daughter of Abu Sufyan to the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم for a dower of four thousand dirhams. He wrote it to the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم who accepted it.
