Sunan Abu Dawood 2310 - Divorce (Kitab Al-Talaq)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَيُّ الذَّنْبِ أَعْظَمُ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ لِلَّهِ نِدًّا وَهُوَ خَلَقَكَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ أَيٌّ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْ تَقْتُلَ وَلَدَكَ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ مَعَكَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ أَيٌّ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْ تُزَانِيَ حَلِيلَةَ جَارِكَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى تَصْدِيقَ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ وَالَّذِينَ لا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ وَلا يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلا بِالْحَقِّ وَلا يَزْنُونَ سورة الفرقان آية 68 الْآيَةَ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! کون سا گناہ سب سے بڑا ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ( سب سے بڑا گناہ یہ ہے کہ ) تم اللہ کے ساتھ شریک ٹھہراؤ حالانکہ اسی نے تمہیں پیدا کیا ہے ، میں نے پوچھا اس کے بعد کون ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم اپنے بچے کو اس ڈر سے مار ڈالو کہ وہ تمہارے ساتھ کھائے گا ، میں نے کہا پھر اس کے بعد؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ کہ تم اپنے پڑوسی کی بیوی سے زنا کرو ، نیز کہا: نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے قول کی تصدیق کے طور پر یہ آیت نازل ہوئی «والذين لا يدعون مع الله إلها آخر ولا يقتلون النفس التي حرم الله إلا بالحق ولا يزنون الخ ( سورۃ الفرقان: ۶۸ ) جو لوگ اللہ کے علاوہ کسی کو نہیں پکارتے اور ناحق اس نفس کو قتل نہیں کرتے جس کے قتل کو اللہ نے حرام قرار دیا ہے اور نہ زنا کرتے ہیں ۔

English Translation

Abd Allaah (bin Masud) said “I asked Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم which sin is the gravest?” He replied “That you associate someone with Allaah, while He has created you”. I again asked “Which then?” He replied “That you commit adultery with the wife of your neighbor. ” Allaah then revealed the following Quranic verse in support of the statement of the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم “Those who invoke not with Allaah any other god nor slay such life as Allaah has made sacred except for just cause nor commit fornication. ”
