Sunan Abu Dawood 2328 - Fasting (Kitab Al-Siyam)

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَسَعِيدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْأَبِي الْعَلَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ:‏‏‏‏ هَلْ صُمْتَ مِنْ شَهْرِ شَعْبَانَ شَيْئًا ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَإِذَا أَفْطَرْتَ فَصُمْ يَوْمًا ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا:‏‏‏‏ يَوْمَيْنِ .

Urdu Translation

عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک شخص سے پوچھا: کیا تم نے شعبان کے کچھ روزے رکھے ہیں ۱؎؟ ، جواب دیا: نہیں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب ( رمضان کے ) روزے رکھ چکو تو ایک روزہ اور رکھ لیا کرو ، ان دونوں میں کسی ایک راوی کی روایت میں ہے: دو روزے رکھ لیا کرو ۔

English Translation

Narrated Imran bin Husain: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم asked a man: Did you fast the last day of Sha'ban ? He replied: No. He said: If you did not observe a fast, you must fast for a day. One of the two narrators said: For two days.
