حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تُقَدِّمُوا صَوْمَ رَمَضَانَ بِيَوْمٍ وَلَا يَوْمَيْنِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ صَوْمٌ يَصُومُهُ رَجُلٌ فَلْيَصُمْ ذَلِكَ الصَّوْمَ .

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: رمضان سے ایک دن یا دو دن پہلے روزہ نہ رکھو، ہاں اگر کوئی آدمی پہلے سے روزہ رکھتا آ رہا ہے تو وہ ان دنوں کا روزہ رکھے ۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: Do not fast one day or two days just before Ramadan, except in the case of a man who has been in the habit of observing the particular fast, for he may fast on that day.
