حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الرَّبَابِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْسَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَمِّهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ صَائِمًا فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى التَّمْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدِ التَّمْرَ فَعَلَى الْمَاءِ فَإِنَّ الْمَاءَ طَهُورٌ .

Urdu Translation

سلمان بن عامر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب تم میں سے کوئی روزے سے ہو تو اسے کھجور ۱؎سے روزہ افطار کرنا چاہیئے اگر کھجور نہ پائے تو پانی سے کر لے اس لیے کہ وہ پاکیزہ چیز ہے ۔

English Translation

Narrated Salman ibn Amir: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: When one of you is fasting, he should break his fast with dates; but if he cannot get any, then (he should break his fast) with water, for water is purifying.
