Sunan Abu Dawood 2451 - Fasting (Kitab Al-Siyam)

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَوَاءٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَفْصَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُومُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ:‏‏‏‏ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ وَالِاثْنَيْنِ مِنَ الْجُمْعَةِ الْأُخْرَى .

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مہینے میں تین دن روزے رکھتے تھے یعنی ( پہلے ہفتہ کے ) دوشنبہ، جمعرات اور دوسرے ہفتے کے دوشنبہ کو۔

English Translation

Narrated Hafsah, Ummul Muminin: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to fast three days every month: Monday, Thursday and Monday in the next week.
