Sunan Abu Dawood 2507 - Jihad (Kitab Al-Jihad)

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَغَشِيَتْهُ السَّكِينَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَوَقَعَتْ فَخِذُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى فَخِذِي فَمَا وَجَدْتُ ثِقْلَ شَيْءٍ أَثْقَلَ مِنْ فَخِذِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ سُرِّيَ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اكْتُبْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَكَتَبْتُ فِي كَتِفٍ لا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ سورة النساء آية 95، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْمُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ سورة النساء آية 95 إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَامَ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ وَكَانَ رَجُلًا أَعْمَى لَمَّا سَمِعَ فَضِيلَةَ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَكَيْفَ بِمَنْ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ الْجِهَادَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا قَضَى كَلَامَهُ غَشِيَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ السَّكِينَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَوَقَعَتْ فَخِذُهُ عَلَى فَخِذِي وَوَجَدْتُ مِنْ ثِقَلِهَا فِي الْمَرَّةِ الثَّانِيَةِ كَمَا وَجَدْتُ فِي الْمَرَّةِ الْأُولَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ سُرِّيَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اقْرَأْ يَا زَيْدُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَرَأْتُ لا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ سورة النساء آية 95، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ غَيْرُ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ سورة النساء آية 95 الْآيَةَ كُلَّهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ زَيْدٌ:‏‏‏‏ فَأَنْزَلَهَا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهَا فَأَلْحَقْتُهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى مُلْحَقِهَا عِنْدَ صَدْعٍ فِي كَتِفٍ .

Urdu Translation

زید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پہلو میں تھا تو آپ کو سکینت نے ڈھانپ لیا ( یعنی وحی اترنے لگی ) ( اسی دوران ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی ران میری ران پر پڑ گئی تو کوئی بھی چیز مجھے آپ کی ران سے زیادہ بوجھل محسوس نہیں ہوئی، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے وحی کی کیفیت ختم ہوئی تو آپ نے فرمایا: لکھو ، میں نے شانہ ( کی ایک ہڈی ) پر «لا يستوي القاعدون من المؤمنين والمجاهدون في سبيل الله» اپنی جانوں اور مالوں سے اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کرنے والے مومن اور بغیر عذر کے بیٹھ رہنے والے مومن برابر نہیں ( سورۃ النساء: ۹۵ ) آخر آیت تک لکھ لیا، عبداللہ بن ام مکتوم رضی اللہ عنہ ( ایک نابینا شخص تھے ) نے جب مجاہدین کی فضیلت سنی تو کھڑے ہو کر کہا: اللہ کے رسول! مومنوں میں سے جو جہاد کی طاقت نہیں رکھتا اس کا کیا حال ہے؟ جب انہوں نے اپنی بات پوری کر لی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو پھر سکینت نے ڈھانپ لیا ( وحی اترنے لگی ) ، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی ران میری ران پر پڑی تو میں نے اس کا بھاری پن پھر دوسری بار محسوس کیا جس طرح پہلی بار محسوس کیا تھا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے وحی کی جب کیفیت ختم ہوئی تو آپ نے فرمایا: زید! پڑھو ، تو میں نے «لا يستوي القاعدون من المؤمنين» پوری آیت پڑھی، تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے: «غير أولي الضرر» کا اضافہ فرمایا، زید کہتے ہیں: تو «غير أولي الضرر» کو اللہ نے الگ سے نازل کیا، میں نے اس کو اس کے ساتھ شامل کر دیا، اللہ کی قسم! گویا میں شانہ کے دراز کو دیکھ رہا ہوں جہاں میں نے اسے شامل کیا تھا۔

English Translation

Zaid bin Thabit said “I was beside the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم when the divinely-inspired calmness overtook him and the thigh of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم fell on my thigh. I did not find any weightier than the thigh of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. He then regained his composure and said “Write down. I wrote on a shoulder. Not equal are thise believers who sit (at home), other than those who have a (disabling) hurt, and those who strive in the way of Allaah. When Ibn Umm Makhtum who was blind heard the excellence of the warriors. He stood up and said “Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم how is it for those believers who are unable to fight (in the path of Allaah)? When he finished his question his divinely-inspired calmness overtook him, and his thigh fell on my thigh and I found its weight the second time as I found the first time. ” When the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم regained his composure, he said “Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said “Other than those who have a (disabling hurt). Zaid said “Allaah, the exalted, revealed it alone and I appended it. ” By Him in Whose hands is my life, I am seeing, as it were the place where I put it (i. e., the verse) at the crack in the shoulder. ”
