Narrated Abu Saeed al-Khudri: A man emigrated to the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم from the Yemen. He asked (him): Have you anyone (of your relatives) in the Yemen? He replied: My parents. He asked: Did they permit you? He replied: No. He said: Go back to them and ask for their permission. If they permit you, then fight (in the path of Allah), otherwise be devoted to them.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أُجَاهِدُ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَلَكَ أَبَوَانِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَفِيهِمَا فَجَاهِدْ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا الشَّاعِرُ اسْمُهُ السَّائِبُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ.

ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ایک آدمی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس یمن سے ہجرت کر کے آیا، آپ نے اس سے فرمایا: کیا یمن میں تمہارا کوئی ہے؟ اس نے کہا: ہاں، میرے ماں باپ ہیں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پوچھا: انہوں نے تمہیں اجازت دی ہے؟ اس نے کہا: نہیں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ان کے پاس واپس جاؤ اور اجازت لو، اگر وہ اجازت دیں تو جہاد کرو ورنہ ان دونوں کی خدمت کرو ۔
