حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ دَاوُدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ مَنْ فَعَلَ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَلَهُ مِنَ النَّفَلِ كَذَا وَكَذَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَتَقَدَّمَ الْفِتْيَانُ وَلَزِمَ الْمَشْيَخَةُ الرَّايَاتِ فَلَمْ يَبْرَحُوهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ قَالَ الْمَشْيَخَةُ:‏‏‏‏ كُنَّا رِدْءًا لَكُمْ لَوِ انْهَزَمْتُمْ لَفِئْتُمْ إِلَيْنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَا تَذْهَبُوا بِالْمَغْنَمِ وَنَبْقَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَبَى الْفِتْيَانُ وَقَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ جَعَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَنَا فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الأَنْفَالِ قُلِ الأَنْفَالُ لِلَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ كَمَا أَخْرَجَكَ رَبُّكَ مِنْ بَيْتِكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّ فَرِيقًا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لَكَارِهُونَ سورة الأنفال آية 1 ـ 5 يَقُولُ فَكَانَ ذَلِكَ خَيْرًا لَهُمْ فَكَذَلِكَ أَيْضًا فَأَطِيعُونِي فَإِنِّي أَعْلَمُ بِعَاقِبَةِ هَذَا مِنْكُمْ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بدر کے دن فرمایا: جس نے ایسا ایسا کیا اس کو بطور انعام اتنا اتنا ملے گا ، جوان لوگ آگے بڑھے اور بوڑھے جھنڈوں سے چمٹے رہے اس سے ہٹے نہیں، جب اللہ نے مسلمانوں کو فتح دی تو بوڑھوں نے کہا: ہم تمہارے مددگار اور پشت پناہ تھے اگر تم کو شکست ہوتی تو تم ہماری ہی طرف پلٹتے، تو یہ نہیں ہو سکتا کہ یہ غنیمت کا مال تم ہی اڑا لو، اور ہم یوں ہی رہ جائیں، جوانوں نے اسے تسلیم نہیں کیا اور کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے ہم کو دیا ہے، تب اللہ نے یہ آیت کریمہ «يسألونك عن الأنفال قل الأنفال لله» یہ لوگ آپ سے غنیمتوں کا حکم دریافت کرتے ہیں آپ فرما دیجئیے کہ یہ غنیمتیں اللہ کی ہیں اور رسول کی سو تم اللہ سے ڈرو اور اپنے باہمی تعلقات کی اصلاح کرو اور اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی اطاعت کرو اگر تم ایمان والے ہو، بس ایمان والے تو ایسے ہوتے ہیں کہ جب اللہ تعالیٰ کا ذکر آتا ہے تو ان کے قلوب ڈر جاتے ہیں اور جب اللہ کی آیتیں ان کو پڑھ کر سنائی جاتی ہیں تو وہ آیتیں ان کے ایمان کو اور زیادہ کر دیتی ہیں اور وہ لوگ اپنے رب پر توکل کرتے ہیں جو کہ نماز کی پابندی کرتے ہیں اور ہم نے ان کو جو کچھ دیا ہے وہ اس میں سے خرچ کرتے ہیں سچے ایمان والے یہ لوگ ہیں ان کے لیے بڑے درجے ہیں ان کے رب کے پاس اور مغفرت اور عزت کی روزی ہے جیسا کہ آپ کے رب نے آپ کے گھر سے حق کے ساتھ آپ کو روانہ کیا اور مسلمانوں کی ایک جماعت اس کو گراں سمجھتی تھی ( سورۃ الانفال: ۱-۵ ) سے «كما أخرجك ربك من بيتك بالحق وإن فريقا من المؤمنين لكارهون» تک نازل فرمائی، پھر ان کے لیے یہی بہتر ہوا، اسی طرح تم سب میری اطاعت کرو، کیونکہ میں اس کے انجام کار کو تم سے زیادہ جانتا ہوں۔

English Translation

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said on the day of Badr: He who does such-and-such, will have such-and such. The young men came forward and the old men remained standing near the banners, and they did not move from there. When Allah bestowed victory on them, the old men said: We were support for you. If you had been defeated, you would have returned to us. Do not take this booty alone and we remain (deprived of it). The young men refused (to give), and said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم has given it to us. Then Allah sent down: They ask thee concerning (things taken as) spoils of war, Say: (Such) spoils are at the disposal of Allah and the Messenger. . . . . . Just as they Lord ordered thee out of thy house in truth, even though a party among the believers disliked it. This proved good for them. Similarly obey me. I know the consequence of this better than you.
